Essex man charged with murder after woman dies in crash

A man from Essex has been charged with murder after a woman died of her injuries three months after a fatal car crash.

Robert Barrow, from Chigwell, has been charged with the murder of 40-year-old Tahereh Pirali-Dashti and the assault of a 56-year-old man.

Both charges relate to an incident which took place in Barnet, London just before midnight on 20th January.

Police were called to the scene following reports of an altercation between people in the two vehicles

Ms Pirali-Dashti was treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to hospital in central London. She remained in hospital in a critical condition, where she sadly died of her injuries on 10th April.

Police initially arrested 54-year-old Barrow on 20th January, and he was later released on bail before being charged.

Barrow is due to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on 19th April.
