Teenage girl grabbed by man near Essex train station

Police are appealing for information after a teenage girl was grabbed by a man in Loughton.

The incident happened at around 5.45pm on Torrington Drive on Friday (6 March).

The 16 year-old girl was walking along Torrington Drive, when she was approached by a man who tried to start a conversation with her.

As the girl tried to walk away, the man then grabbed her around the waist.

The suspect was described as white and in his mid-forties.

The girl pushed him away and threatened to call the police. The man then ran off from the scene.

Essex Police are appealing for any witnesses, or for anyone who has CCTV footage of the incident, to get in touch.
