A man has died after getting trapped under a car in Chelmsford.
The incident happened on Widford Road in Chelmsford at around 6.30pm yesterday (Monday 6 July). Emergency services, including fire crews and paramedics, attended the scene.
An air ambulance was also called out, which landed in the nearby Oaklands Park.
Sadly, the man in his 50s died at the scene.
Police cordoned off the road between Widford Road and London Road for much of the evening, while they conducted their investigations.
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: “Emergency services were called at 6.30pm on July 6 after reports a man aged in his 50s was trapped under a stationary car in Widford Road, Chelmsford.”
“His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
