Man found dead in woodlands in Basildon a day after going missing

A man has been found dead in woodlands a day after going missing from his home in Essex.

The body of Bobby Olley was discovered in a wooded area in Basildon, after he was reported missing by his family.

The 38-year-old was last seen on the morning of 12 August. He was found deceased in woodland off Staneway at 2.40pm on 13 August.

Police have confirmed Bobby’s death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

His brother Lewis has set up a fundraising page to help raise money for his funeral.

His brother posted: “Sad to have to write this today finding out my big brother had passed away.”

“I’ve now to take the task on with much support for friends and family to give my bro the send off he deserves and help support his mum, sisters and children the best I can.”

“Money is a-bit tight for me and I know Bob didn’t do anything by half’s either haha, so literally any support will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all.”
