Essex Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died when the car he was driving was involved in a crash with a lorry.
The accident happened on Courtauld Road in Basildon at about 7.30pm on Friday 22 February.
The crash involved a white Kia Optima car and the lorry. The driver of the Kia, a man in his forties, died at the scene.
No arrests have yet been made and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances around the collision.
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen either vehicle before the crash or anyone who has any dashcam footage, to contact them.
