Police name young motorcyclist killed in Essex crash

A motorcyclist who died in a crash with a car last week has been named.

The collision happened on Walden Road in Little Walden at around 6.15pm last Wednesday (19 August).

The crash involved a BMW motorbike and a blue Volkswagen up! Paramedics tried to save the motorcyclist, but he sadly passed away at the scene of the crash.

Police have now named the victim as 28-year-old Tim Cook.

His family have paid tribute to him, describing him as a dearly loved son, brother, boyfriend and friend to everyone that knew him.

Tim was training to be a fully qualified optician and had a passion for cars and motorbikes. His family added that he had a zest for life and was never seen without a smile or cheeky grin.
