A woman has sadly died following a collision in Braintree today (16 September).
The woman pedestrian, who was in her 40s, was hit by a bus on Coggeshall Road at around 1:10pm. The woman’s family have been informed.
The bus driver is assisting Police with their enquiries. The road remains closed between Wheatley Avenue and Bartram Avenue North.
Officers are still trying to establish the circumstances of the collision and would like to speak to anyone who saw the woman walking in the area ahead of the incident.
Anyone with mobile, CCTV or dash cam footage is also urged to get in touch with Essex Police on 101 quoting incident 611 of 16 September.
