Young man dies after serious incident on QE2 bridge

A young man has sadly died after a serious incident on the M25 Dartford Crossing.

Police were called to the crossing at 6am this morning after concerns were raised for a person’s welfare.

Police have confirmed that a man in his twenties, who is from Essex, has been pronounced dead.

The road was blocked on the A282 clockwise for the QE2 bridge, while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Police have confirmed that the man’s death is not being treated as suspicious and that his next of kin have been informed.

A spokesperson for Police said: “We were called at 6.03am on Saturday, August 15, 2020 regarding concerns for the welfare of a person on the M25 near Dartford.

“Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and a man in his 20s from Essex was pronounced deceased. His next of kin have been informed.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
